SoAP Box Sound Bites: In what ways have you been able to relax or reduce work-related stress during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Sunshine breaks have become increasingly important to me to help manage the elevated stress of the past two years. Just a few minutes outside taking in some fresh air or a brief walk really help to relieve Zoom-fatigue. A 3pm pick-me-up cup of tea and little treat helps as well.

One of the best ways I’ve found to manage work-related stress is through my network. Having people close to me who encourage me to work hard (and commiserate with me when things go wrong), while also encouraging me to have boundaries between work and life, has made everything much easier.

For me, it is important to have something to look forward to everyday as well as something to look forward to in the coming few months. Watching new episodes of TV, going out dancing (you can always have a dance party at home), and trips to the beach are how I keep myself happy.
