We have a new research assistant position opening in the Stress, Anxiety and Substance Use Lab at McLean Hospital. We look forward to welcoming a new team member to work on several ongoing projects focused on opioid use disorder, including studies of mechanisms linking pain to opioid relapse, the overlap between suicide and overdose, and neurocognitive deficits in people who use both stimulants and opioids. Seeking a highly motivated college graduate to provide support for NIH-funded trials on opioid use disorder under the direction of R. Kathryn McHugh, PhD. The position will be based at McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA. Specific responsibilities include: participant recruitment, follow-up, and assessment; maintaining and updating data generated by the study; performing literature searches; conducting statistical analysis; contributing to the writing of manuscripts; and administrative tasks. Publication and presentation opportunities will be available. This position offers an excellent opportunity for graduating seniors looking for clinical research experience before applying to graduate school in psychology (particularly clinical and counseling programs), the social sciences, or medical school.
