On September 20th, NAADAC, celebrated National Addiction Professionals Day by announcing their 2019 national award winners. Dr. Kirk Bowden was awarded the Addiction Educator of the Year Award. This award recognized Dr. Bowden for his outstanding service as an addiction educator, leader, mentor, role model and national advocate. Dr. Bowden is the chair of the Addiction and Substance Use Disorder Program at Rio Salado College. He is a past president of NAADAC the Association for Addiction Professionals and past chair of the National Addiction Studies Accreditation Commission (NASAC).
