Call for Papers: Psychological Practice in Substance Use Disorders and Addictions
New Submission Deadline: January 1, 2019
Professional Psychology: Research and Practice (PPRP) and Training and Education in Professional Psychology (TEPP) have planned coordinated special issues on practice (PPRP) and education and training (TEPP) in substance use disorders and addictions.
PPRP seeks manuscripts focusing on psychological approaches to the prevention, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of substance use disorders and addictions, as well as professional practice issues encountered in this work.
Qualitative and quantitative empirical work, program development and evaluation studies, and theoretical analyses are welcome.
We seek manuscripts focused on the individual, family, or systemic level, including issues of diversity impacting practice with populations affected by substance use disorders and addictions.
Manuscripts more focused on training and educating psychologists for substance use disorders and addictions work should be forwarded to TEPP.
All manuscripts should be submitted electronically by January 1, 2019 through the Manuscript Submission Portal.
Please read the Instructions for Authors for more information on manuscript preparation requirements for this journal.
Please note in your cover letter that you are submitting for consideration of publication in the special issue on Psychological Practice in Substance Use Disorders and Addictions.
For questions and consultations, please contact the Editor, Kathi Borden, or Guest Editor, Charles Smith.
