NIJ Research Conference: Call for Lightning Talk and Poster Submissions

News Date: Monday, February 5, 2024 - 20:45

Building on the success of NIJ’s 2023 National Research Conference in Arlington, Virginia, NIJ will be hosting its 2024 National Research Conference September 16-18, 2024, in Pittsburgh, PA. The theme of the conference is “advancing justice through science,” and our goal is to bring researchers and practitioners together to learn about the latest research evidence and how it can be implemented to promote safety, equity, and justice for all.

Registration for the conference is not yet open, however we are inviting submissions for research posters to be featured at the conference poster session, as well as for lightning talks on emerging issues and pioneering methods. Submissions must focus on current issues and/or innovative methods that have an impact on the criminal or juvenile justice system in the United States and may involve social, behavioral, or forensic sciences; technology; and/or engineering. Eligibility is open to both active NIJ grantees and non-grantees, and selection is competitive. Submissions are due Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. ET, and we will announce selections by April 30, 2024.
