University of Central Florida (UCF) Substance Use Research Group (SURG) Virtual Open House Registration

The SURG Labs at UCF (DREAM, HEAL, and REALE-TIME) focus on researching substance use, health risk behaviors, and behavioral economics among college students and general populations. For more information, see our lab website here: https://sciences.ucf.edu/psychology/surg/

Topics to be covered include:
- Current projects and research

  • Dr. Lidia Mesheha will discuss her current lab projects - Dr. Meshesha’s graduate student will speak

  • Dr. Michael Dunn will discuss his current lab projects - Dr. Dunn’s graduate students will speak

  • Dr. Robert Dvorak will discuss his current lab projects - Dr. Dvorak’s graduate students will speak

- What it is like to attend UCF/live in Orlando, FL
- Questions and Answers
- The last 30 minutes will include an optional break-out to speak just with graduate students OR stay with faculty to continue asking questions of them

It should be noted that the Open House has nothing to do with the actual process of admissions and is not evaluative. The Open House is simply to provide information. There are no advantages or disadvantages to applicants who do/do not attend the Open House.
