The PsyD program at William James College received two HRSA grants this year to train 20 students/year in the treatment of SUD/OUD. In addition to field training at addiction treatment sites, students will participate in a year-long seminar series at WJC, which includes an in-service from individuals in recovery.
We are seeking up to three individuals in recovery from SUD (with priority given to those in recovery from OUD) to speak to our student cohort on Thursday August 20th from 11:45am to 1pm ET. This is a virtual event via Zoom, so individuals do not need to be located in Massachusetts. The stipend for each speaker is $300.
If you or your friends, colleagues, students, or clients are interested, please contact Dr. Julie Yeterian at Julie_yeterian@williamjames.edu. I will be happy to provide more details and answer any questions.
Resources are available for those struggling with addiction and numerous effective treatments exist. Whether you are looking for help for yourself or a loved one, we encourage you to seek out help.
