The IMPACT LAB in the Department of Psychology at Syracuse University is recruiting a full-time project coordinator!

 

The Project Coordinator will support two federally funded studies on trauma-related drinking.  The first study (Project STATE) aims to understand the emotions and thoughts that influence drinking as individuals go about their daily lives.  The second study (PROCESS) explores trauma processing in the context of alcohol.   These studies both include an onboarding session, ecological momentary assessment (EMA) phase, and related follow-up sessions.  

 

The Project Coordinator will support numerous initiatives essential for success of these projects, including coordinating an interdisciplinary research team, conducting in-person or live online study sessions, and assisting with recruitment, participant contact, eligibility screening, scheduling, compensation, data monitoring, human subjects safety protocols, federal reporting protocols, and disseminating results through presentations and publications.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, mental health, behavioral sciences, or a related field.
  • Prior experience and interest conducting research in psychology or social sciences.
  • Experience with management and execution of federally-funded human subjects research projects on psychology, substance use, health behavior, or related topics is preferred.
