This panel will explore the complexities and nuances of supporting psychedelic preparation and integration. Psychedelic states present a challenge for clinicians and other healing practitioners because of the atypical, expansive, and unpredictable nature of the psychedelic process. This panel will also be reviewing techniques, strategies, and encouraged practices used within psychedelic integration while also acknowledging that the clinical setting must be done in conjunction with other modes of community support. Psychedelic harm reduction will also be covered as a crucial aspect of supporting people through these experiences.

Ketamine treatment is currently entering a phase of popularity and increased promotion. There are many reports of significant success with ketamine in the treatment of depression, substance use issues, and trauma. But the speed of its increasing popularity seems to have left behind the discussion of risks, pitfalls, and possible negative outcomes. This panel will be reviewing the benefits, necessary accompanying protocols, and potentially harmful outcomes from a clinical and social perspective. Best practices for clinicians wishing to support clients receiving ketamine treatment will also be reviewed.
