News Date: Monday, April 5, 2021 - 08:00

Drs. Michael Amlung and Derek D. Reed are organizing the inaugural KU Symposium on the Behavioral Economics of Addiction to be held by webinar August 2021. The 2021 symposium will tentatively focus on "Behavioral Economic Demand: Design, Analysis, and Novel Applications."

This virtual symposium will be free and open to everyone who pre-registers (likely capped at 500 attendees). The target audience is primarily faculty, researchers, clinicians, and trainees.

Planning has just started, but the event likely will feature 2-3 talks by leading experts, a series of data blitz talks by trainees, and an intensive data analysis workshop. Recordings of the sessions and materials will be archived on an open science repository.
