Hello and happy fall! We want to take this opportunity to introduce the 2024-2025 SoAP APA program committee: Drs. Tessa Frohe (Chair), Silvi Goldstein (Co-Chair), Susan Collins (President), Noah Emery (President-Elect), Seema Clifasefi (Past President), Mary Beth Miller, Karen Osilla, David Lardier, Jaye Derrick, Anne Fernandez, Lourah Kelly, Neo Gebru, Samuel Acuff and Student Reps: Katherine Berry and Corey Monley. We are honored to be working with Division 50 President, Dr. Susan Collins, and with the guidance of last year’s Chair, Dr. Christina Lee, to put together a thought-provoking, scientifically informed and clinically relevant program for the upcoming 2025 APA Convention that will be hosted in Denver, Colorado.
This year, the 2025 SoAP Program Committee is seeking proposals on research and clinical advances addressing the Division 50 President’s theme, “Bridging the Gap: Digital Innovation in Addiction Psychology.” We invite submissions for the 2025 APA Convention that explore how digital advancements are transforming addiction psychology and enhancing access, equity, and effectiveness in addiction research, treatment, and prevention. We are especially interested in programming that examines how technology can bridge gaps in care, address health disparities, and improve outcomes for diverse populations.
