Department of Psychiatry, Yale School of Medicine, seeks psychiatrist or psychologist to participate in a multi-disciplinary faculty level research training program in treatment development for addictions. Position is supported by NIDA K12 training grant with protected research time and funds for research. This position carries an academic appointment with the anticipated rank of Associate Research Scientist or Assistant Professor. This training program aims to launch independent research careers in drug abuse treatment development. Training faculty interests include evaluation of innovative behavioral and pharmacological treatments, health services research, psychiatric epidemiology, pharmacological challenges, behavioral pharmacology and genetic and neuroimaging approaches to investigating mechanisms underlying treatments for addictions.
A strong background in addiction, pain research, experimental research, neuroimmunology, developmental research, opioid research, treatment development research (transcranial stimulation, psychopharmacology, psychotherapy or other approaches) and clinical training preferred.
Required qualifications include: M.D. or Ph.D. degree, completion of specialty training, commitment to a career in drug addiction research and U.S. Citizenship or non-citizen national.
