The Invitation to Change Approach is a skills-oriented, compassionate program developed for people with loved ones struggling with substance abuse. Drawing on evidence-based principles from Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), it emphasizes the idea that people can take care of themselves while staying engaged and practicing active strategies to help their struggling loved one.
