Senior Researcher – Researcher – Postdoctoral Researcher

The Centre of Excellence in Responsible Gaming (CERG) at the University of Gibraltar is seeking to recruit investigators at different stage of their academic carrier with research interests in gambling behaviour, which may include studying the etiology of problematic gambling and gambling disorder, understanding the mechanisms of gambling related risks and harm, developing assessment tools to measure individual, familial or societal harm related to gambling, developing and evaluating interventions that might reduce harm related to these behaviours. While these positions directly focus on the study of gambling behaviour, research interest and experience in other technology related problem behaviours (e.g., problematic video game use) could be an advantage. The successful candidates will become key members of the CERG and will be expected to participate in and lead both independent and collaborative research programs focusing on the study of gambling related harm. The successful candidates must be able to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and diverse populations. 

Research Manager

The Centre of Excellence in Responsible Gaming (CERG) at the University of Gibraltar is seeking to recruit a Research Manager. The position is open to individuals with a Ph.D. who have significant management experience in a higher education environment and outstanding organizational skills.  The successful candidate will become a key member of the CERG and will be expected to coordinate the Centre's research and development activities, monitor established goals, and maintain an effective relationship with researchers, and other collaborators and partners of the Centre. The successful candidate will work with the Chair of the Centre to develop and implement CERG's strategy in research, educational, and intervention activities, participate in the dissemination of evidence-based results among policymakers and industrial partners, including gaming operators in order to facilitate the implementation of the Centre’s results into gaming practice.  We are seeking a candidate who can work effectively in a team, plan and delegate team members' workload, manage multiple priorities, and solve emerging problems effectively and creatively. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and diverse populations.
