News Date: Friday, May 13, 2022 - 11:30

Dr. Jen Merrill, Associate Professor at Brown University, is looking to hire a full-time Senior Research Assistant for her ongoing study Project ARC. The position is set to start July 25th, so current college seniors may be particularly interested in applying.

Job Description:

This Senior Research Assistant (RA) will support the investigator to implement a longitudinal study of heavy drinking young adults. Participants in this study complete intensive daily surveys (ecological momentary assessment; EMA) and use wrist worn alcohol biosensors in their daily life.  This allows researchers to analyze patterns in behaviors and context and their association with alcohol consequences. The Senior RA’s activities will involve participant recruitment, consenting, tracking and retention; developing and implementing study protocols; programming online surveys and managing datafiles; and facilitating project-related communications with Center staff and other team members. The Senior RA is expected to help with organization and maintenance of project documents and files, conducting library research as needed, and assembling materials for IRB modifications and progress reports. The Senior RA will manage a team of undergraduate RAs to assist with some of these tasks. Personnel management responsibilities include hiring and training undergraduate RAs, scheduling shifts, and delegating tasks.
