My term as president of Division 50 (SoAP), will end in just four days. I am writing to thank you for a wonderful year. I have called on you multiple times to participate in surveys, attend our Town Hall Meeting, vote for bylaws, serve on committees and task forces, participate in conference calls, and more. Over the year you've come through every time and for that, I can't thank you enough!
Many of you participated in our recent member survey, regarding the nature of addictions (including behavioral addictions), and a whopping 20% (>200) of you responded. I want to make sure you know that your thoughts were heard. In fact you can read my brief report of the results in the current issue of The Addictions Newsletter (TAN). Here's the link:
I look forward to seeing you in San Francisco later this week. I will be presenting my President's Address, "What Exactly is an Addiction?" on Friday at 4 pm. I hope you will attend.
