March is Problem Gambling Awareness Month. About 2-3% of Americans suffer from gambling disorder, and many more evidence subclinical problems.  As with all addictions, the disorder effects not just the individual diagnosed with the disorder but families and communities as well.  The National Council on Problem Gambling has good information and toolkits for those who are interested.
