Introducing the Clinical Pearls Series on Addiction Psychology

News Date: Thursday, February 21, 2019 - 12:45

The Clinical Pearls Series is a place where addiction psychologists share their thoughts on how to address treatment issues and failures - these are not found in manuals or books. Please check them out!

The first, entitled "Between-Session Skill Practice in SUD Treatment," was written by Paul Paul Stasiewitcz, Ph.D., our current Member-at-Large (Practice), and the second, entitled "Exploring Benefits of Addictive Behaviors", was written by Robert Schwebel, Ph.D., who developed The Seven Challenges Program.

Future submissions to the Pearl series will be reviewed by our interdisciplinary Outreach Committee, which includes academics, clinicians and students. Please contact us if you want to submit something, or are interested in joining our interdisciplinary group of academics, clinicians, and students. Thank you!

The mission of the Outreach Committee (ORC) is to increase communication and to disseminate knowledge about Addiction Psychology between 1. Clinicians Working with Addiction and Researchers, and 2. SoAP Psychologists and Health Professionals interested in Addiction Psychology.
