THE CENTER FOR OPTIMAL LIVING
Family/Couples Clinician Position Available

The Center for Optimal Living is seeking to hire a clinician with expertise in either couples or family therapy (or both modalities) to join our team and work with our diverse client base. Our Center provides psychotherapy to individuals and their family members impacted by substance use and other mental health issues utilizing an integrative harm reduction psychotherapy framework. Our clinicians are  part of our exceptional community of clinicians serving clients in our New York City Center.  We view our clinicians as valuable members of our team and provide opportunities for growth and leadership around their areas of expertise.  We also offer training opportunities and encourage continued professional development.

About the Position
Minimum Qualifications
We are seeking a NY licensed psychologist or NY licensed clinical social worker with experience  treating mental health issues along with alcohol and drug misuse. Candidates must be familiar with a harm reduction framework.  The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is motivated to take leadership over building a couples therapy and/or family program- including creating new groups and workshops along with providing psychotherapy services to families and couples at our Center. We envision this as a role that could lead to publications and opportunities to present and train nationally and internationally.

Position Requirements
Clinicians are responsible for conducting initial intake assessments and develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with their clients.  Clinicians are also expected to maintain regular contact with other service providers working with their clients to ensure continuity of care.  Clinicians participate in weekly group and individual supervision with Drs. Tatarsky and Talley along with staff training opportunities.   Clinicians at our Center may also develop and lead groups based on their interests and our needs.  Clinicians applying for this position need to have evening availability for clinical work. Availability for weekend clinical work is also preferred but not required.

About the Center

To Apply
To apply for the position, please email a letter of interest and current vitae to Dr. Jenifer Talley, Assistant Director of the Center at jtalley@cfol.org. Qualified applicants will be contacted for interviews. We also ask that all candidates be prepared to provide 3 references to contact. Please indicate availability for weekend and evening clinical work.
