I received a number of great suggestions for APA approved continuing education in addictions (please see below). I have done my best to verify their approval status, but, of course, this can change so it makes sense to verify this for yourself if you want to pursue any of the options. It seems clear to me that there is a general recognition that there are limited options for APA approved addictions continuing education and that Division 50 is working to increase these options. I am grateful for this.

Live CE programs
Do not yet offer addiction focused CEs on a regular basis but is actively working towards doing so
Anticipates making last year's APA programs available for CE once they are released to us by APA to use for that purpose (occurs 1 year post-convention)

Addictions Conference sponsored by McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Targeted at psychiatrists and psychologists. Good mix of the latest research and clinical applications.
"Treating the Addictions" Conference sponsored by Cambridge Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Targeted to addiction professionals across disciplines.
William James College is currently halfway through an addictions-focused seminar series.
